Default 9600 or 8800

Right now I have an 8600GT. It plays all of my games except Company of Heroes smoothly. I was looking at the Zotac 8800GT AMP! Edition, overclocked to 700/2000.

Lately I've been considering the 9600GT and I found this card.

Both of these cards are in budget, and I know the 8800GT is a little faster but is it worth the extra money? I only have an 8600GT now so either of the cards will be a big improvement. The only con I can see with the 9600 is the 64 stream processors. And I will most likely be selling my card for $50 so the cards are even cheaper.

I was about to say the same thing, make the step up to the 9800 GTX for the extra 70 bucks.

I would, but I'm using an upgraded HP Pavillion. I only have one slot. I might be able to use 2, I have a slot fan 2 slots above my gfx card, but that would cut off a lot of the circulation around the card. I got the computer for $450, with 17" monitor and printer, so I can't complain.

And of the 2 that I posted, there must have been a rebate update since yesterday. The 8800 is now $135 and then 9600 $125. I guess this is no longer a hard question. Haha, so go for the 8800? It has very good reviews and an insane overclock. Although I suppose both of the 2 cards do.

If I had to pick from those two, It would be the 8800 GT. Very popular card and I've heard a lot of good things about it.

Between a 9600GT and a 8800GT, the 8800GT.

Hm okay. If I get a card I'll get that one. One month ago that card was $210. Then had a huge rebate, then a price drop to $150. Now it's having another rebate. Haha I'll see if it drops any time soon. Possibly from the 9800GTX+ coming out? And thanks for all the advice!
