Default Quick Question

Hello. I have been using Windows in Parallels for several months now. However, recently, it has started acting up. When using Windows via Parallels, my mouse cursor has become jerky and all of sudden will stick or shoot ahead. Also, my Internet connection when on Windows is intermittent. It will be on for several seconds, then off, with a 'network not found' message. Twenty seconds later, it will return, but only for a few moments.

I have checked my Internet connection when using the Mac and it's fine. I have also tried using Windows in another house with another connection, but the problem remains. I have gone over my settings on both Windows and Mac, but nothing seems unusual and I don't recall tampering with anything. I have checked the help and support pages, but couldn't see any queries regarding constantly interrupted connections.

Is anybody able to assist, as I use Windows for my work?

regards,

snoopy1239

I have Mac v2 Notebook, Tiger, 512MB, Windows XP, shared networking

Are you sure it's a problem with windows and not an issue with Parallels?

No, it could be either really. The frustrating thing is that I had to purchase both Windows and Parallels to use Windows on my Mac, and now I can't get a smooth connection when the one on my Mac is so good. Very annoying, it's probably something very small.

I would try reinstalling, but I have the cheap edition of Windows XP with no customer service, so I'm worried that (1) it won't accept my key for a second time and (2) will lock my computer.

Again, any help appreciated.

create a new user account and see if the problem repeats. If it doesn't then it is a user pref that is causing the problem.
