Default Install CD Drive

Okay so I'm in the process of upgrading my stock HP Pavillion. It came with one CD drive but 2 slots. If I were to add a new CD drive for the sole purpose of not having to switch my game CD's, how simple would the install be? I know how to physically put it in and connect it, but in terms of software or drivers. They keep going on sale for $20 so I figured why not?

It's an SATA. I have 4 SATA ports, 2 are used. Hard drive and CD/DVD drive. I'd have to get a left angle SATA cable though, they go right behind my PCIex16 slot. The two ports that are used don't go behind the slot.
