Exclamation No wireless networks in range!

I am running windows xp sp2 with a netgear wg311T wireless network adapter and a billion myguard7202G wireless router. I am veritably inches from the router but windows cannot find any wireless networks and the wireless works fine on my two vista laptops. I am broadcasting SSID and have WEP enabled. There are no options for WAN/WLAN in my BIOS and the system works fine when connected by ethernet cable but i am wanting to shift my furniture and this would mean i would be running a cable under a rug which i don't want to do, which is why i'm so desperate to set up wireless! any help would be HUGELY APPRECIATED!!!!!!

Sometimes there's a wireless network switch that you might have to turn on.

make sure your wirless nic is turned on if it is built on to the laptop if not make sure that the wireless network works... if it is a wireless pc card i would remove it and try it on one of your other laptops and load drivers etc.... see if it works from that computer if it doesnt then its something up with that pc card if it does then its something down to that laptop... check out the eventlog also it helps alot in troubleshooting
