Default can non-exx ram be used with ecc ram?

can non-ecc ram be used with ecc ram in same machine?

hoping for an answer within 30min since ebay auction will end in that time.

i dont see why not actually... i mean as long as ECC is disabled on your motherboard... and they're the same type of sticks. i.e. ddr/ddr2/ddr3
