Yes some viruses can do that, the only other thing i can suggested is your reformat......

Or try a easy thing i'm not too familiar with virus fixing, and combo and what not, but i think you should Start>Run> MSCONFIG, and stop all your normal start up programs, then check wether your internet is working, and from that point if it's working then it's maybe a virus....

Or restore point to the time the computer was actually connectiong to the internet like it should...

I already did that wayy back when I didn't have a virus so my computer would start up a lot quicker. Thanks for the help, though!

I mean use system restore... and find a restore point that goes back to when the computer didn't have the virus, and was connected fine..
