is this an okay deal?

Im looking for something i can use for school and pretty much watching/downloading movies and videos. if not, i cant spend more than about 650. Canada is gay like that because at 650, its about another 75 bucks for taxes and viola! most of my $730 is gone EDIT: This will be an everyday computer.
