Recently we had lots of new threads about members who are willing to get a new D-SLR, some of them because they are passionate about photography and others because they just think it's cool.
A D-SLR costs between 450$ (D40 without lenses) and can go very high in price. Not to mention the lenses who sometimes, costs as much as the D-SLR itself. Are you really sure it's what you want? If you are just a point and shoot photographer, this is not what you need. A D-SLR is very hard to use, even the beginner D40 or XTI. Just as an example, you'll need to master how to use the aperture, shutter speed, ISO Speed, White Balance, depending on the light condition of the object you want to take a picture of. It sometimes takes me around 15 mins to get the picture I wanted. If you still want to get a D-SLR because it looks "cool", why not look in Bridge Camera AKA D-SLR like D-camera? They usually have huge zooms and good quality, but you don't need to know how to change every setting to get a good picture, the camera will take care of it. Here are the types of camera you can get: D-Camera: ![]() Bridge Cameras: ![]() D-SLR camera: ![]() If you still got questions after reading this, let us know, we will glad to answer your questions
