toshiba satelite beeps on startup
i just made a trip to turkey here a lil over a week ago. my laptop was running fine until the other day. i turned it off one night and then we moved to another hotel. when i went to turn it on that night the screen just stayed black and it beeps. it powers on and the fan spins but nothing else. i heard there is some kinda "code" that goes along with the beeps. i have tried searching and found nothing. when i power on it has 4 beeps in a row then one beep and then one more beep. i have tried some other forums but no one seems to know anything about the beeps. i have tried taking out the HD and ram and re-seating it. still nothing though. if anyone has any info for me it would help alot. thanks- Brian

Call the manufacturer of the laptop and ask them what the codes mean. since you can't boot it, you won't be able to know what brand of bios is installed (ami or award or other)
