Default Video Capture Hardware Aproval

Hey everyone, i have finaly decided i am going to get a tv tuner for my comp, however, my budget is small, so i found one which i think is good for recording some tv shows on to my comp... Tell me what you think.

I got one by K-World that's probably identical to that one. The best way to put it...it's crap. Even with my comp, I get some lags when I record stuff. If you want good quality recordings, get one with a real time encoder on it...

Now, if you have a strong signal, it might do alright. I think most of my grain is from our weak cable signal here. Still, I got mine mostly for watching TV. I capture stuff by firewire.
