Helo,

Sorry for any confusion. What I meant was there are trojans/virus'/spyware out there that can manipulate the router settings and directed to bogus sites. These of course will be installed on windows and will attempt to access your router model with default passwords (admin/admin).
What I meant by resetting is reset your router to get default settings back if suspect being hijacked.
