which processor is the best for an all aeound laptop:
-amd
-intel

I think Intel Core 2 Duo. I don't have it, i still have the old Intel Pentium 4, but it's one of the newest ones.

Some laptops have intel quad's, so those would preform a LOT better with more heat.

yeah core2duo - runs nice and cool, because its based on the pentium M, not the pentium 4 - also power effiicient yet fast

ive got an old core duo (original core duo, not core 2 duo) myself. Very good, in terms of battery life, temps, power but its not as fast as the newer core2 and it doesnt have 64 bit

Intel has the best mobile processors, whether it be the low-end Celeron M's (which outperform the Sempron), Pentium Dual-Core, Core 2 Duo, etc. They are better performing then AMD's, and produce less heat.
