This is the first time I am going to attempt to build a computer and I know nothing about computers.

Now my budget is $800 just for the tower i've already got a mouse, keyboard, speakers and i'm gonna use my TV as the monitor as it has a monitor slot.

These are the things i'll use the computer for:

Internet
Music
Watching videos
Downloading
Uploading pics
Word
Some little games like the sims mainly (no high tech stuff)
Burning (DVD's and CD's)

Thats about all i'll need it for the basic everyday things I won't need a high end gaming machines as I only really play the sims (my comp can't even play that smooth at the moment) and other little games, the PS3 is the gaming machine I use

But it needs to be fast and be able to run multiple programs without much slow down (this comp sucks hardcore at that) and needs to be able to hold a fair amount of stuff since i'm always downloading and what not and it MUST be easily upgradable if I decide to upgrade a component in it.

So yes if you can suggest some setups for me it would be great aslong as its under $800 (even cheaper would be better without much sacrifice).

I had a setup written up on another forum that I will post up to get opinions on but that forum is down for maintenance at the moment so can't post it up.

Also what websites are best for parts do you guys use? Cheapest and reliable ones?? I'm also in Australia aswell.
