Hi! I'm trying to find a laptop to use for college. I know pretty much nothing about computers, which will become apparent very soon, haha.
For the last four years I've been using an Acer Travelmate 6000 (it was a requirement of my school). It doesn't have very much space which has been a big problem for me, and I had A LOT of problems with it over the years. However, I really like the size and appearance. I just bought a Lenovo Ideapad Y150, but I just can't make myself like it. I'm just not a fan of widescreens, and the resolution seems so small. There's also something about it that I just... don't like. I know that sounds stupid. So basically what I'm desperately looking for are suggestions on what I should look into. I need to use it for schoolwork, digital art, and I also watch a lot of shows and listen to music, as well as save a LOT of pictures. Also, I don't want a widescreen, which narrows down the selection a lot, it seems. As for price, I can't really spend anything above $1,700. Thank you for any help, I'm really clueless about this.
