Default DVD Driver doesn't work--

I've bought a DVD Writer which could burn, and could also read/ play dvds. But now, i bought a new NetworkCard for my computer. I have to instal something from the cd i got with it, but my DVD Writer suddenly wouldn't work anymore when i switched the Networkcard. Now my question here is: What am i supposed to do now, in order my DVD Driver to work!
