I have a Dell Inspiron 8000. I formatted the computer the other using XP. Now that the new XP is on the computer I am having a problem with the resolution. (I had xp before with no problems). I installed the drivers and still have the problem. When I change the resolutions to the highest resolution, the desktop stretches across the whole screen, when I bring the resolution down to say 800x600, the desktop is very small and souronded by a black box around the sides that takes up most of the screen. I know on a monitor, you can get ride of this box, but on my laptop, I have no buttons to adjust this. I also looked in the bios and didn't see anything. I tried to reformat the laptop and the same things happens. Anyone have any ideas?
