ive been reading around and hearing things im wondering if a viewsonic vp211b 21.3" is any good for gaming

Find how fast it is(responce time) If it's about 12ms or less, it should be fine. THe only problem with this(well any LCD) is that you must run it at it's max resolution or it gets blurry.

25ms what would u recomend me getting prefferably lcd <$1700can and good for hardcore gaming and watching tv and dvds

16ms and lower, 25ms won't really cut it with gaming.

I've heard good things about dell lcds, here's dell's widescreen 24" LCD, it has a 12ms response time, $1399 Canadian(+tax and shipping).
