Default Vista wont reconize New Hd

OK First my rig

Amd 6400+ , 2 3870 , 6 gigs crucial , Ax78 abit mobo, 700w xion psu, 150 gb raptor hd..

I had 2 other drives 2 seagate 80 gb barracudas from my old rig..

I originally had the 1 80 gb drive as a plain os and driver drive , and i used the othe r80 gb for media, and the raptor for my games, wellthe one seagate bit it this past weekend, and i decided i was goin to just buy a big drive for my media and just put my os with the 2 games i play on my raptor...

I bought a WD6400AAKs ( 640 gb drive)

I shut down and and took power off comp, installed the drive fine, booted up the drived showed in bios , but when i go into windows it dosent show , i checked the device manage itll show in the , but its not showing a actualy drive in my computer, im puzzled, i unistalled it numerous times and still nothing

Im runnin Vista home, and its been problematic from day 1
