Alright, from my experience, computer guys know more about computers than the company owners, so let me ask this: I have an R3000Z Compaq notebook with a crap-for-crap built-in GeForce MX440 64mb graphics card. Compaq now has the replacement out called the R4000, which has a great graphics card (ATI 200m 128mb card). So what I want to do is (since every piece of hardware I have is great except the mobo) stick that into my R3000Z case, and it looks to me like the case is exactly the same except for right above the optical drive there is a little dip of the silver panel, and the 6-in-1 card slot is 2 spaces over (which doesn't seem like too big of a problem). From the 1 question I got answered, the R4000 case is compatible with the R3000Z motherboard, but not the other way around (but this guy didn't know anything about anything anyway). I'm thinking it is compatible, but I'm just scared that the dimensions might be a little too big or small for the case, although I've got a feeling the mobo will fit, even if I have to take some side panels off. But what should I do, buy the mobo (it is compatible with all my hardware) only, or the mobo and the R4000 case? The only reason I don't want the case is because my monitor in the R3000Z case is great, and I don't feel like taking it off. You think there's a chance I can disconnect the monitor and just buy the lower shell, because that would be cheaper and a lot better for me. Thanks.
