digital music formats

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows which file format has the absolute best quality when transfering music files from CD to computer. I heard .wma with the "lossless" option is the best. I would love to hear other opininons. Thanx.

Yeah WMA should be ok altough I cannot stand that format for some reason so I just stick to the trusty 'ol .wav.
