Default Problems with cam/website

Well Im a member of the site www.stickam.com its where people can meet other people, and you can kinda like broadcast shows you create live. So this is my main concern. On things like yahoo, msn, aim messenger my cam works fine. When Im live on stickam or in a chatroom on cam it works fine. But when I enter someone elses live in there room and turn on my cam it sometimes randoming shuts down my comp, a blue screen pops up (you cant even read what it says b/c it pops up for 1 second) then my comp restarts. Then a error message comes up saying Windows has just recovered from a serious problem. I tried turning off my antivirus when i go on cam but that didnt work ethier. Anything you guys think I can try?? Thanks. I have windows XP im on a Compaq Presario v5000. I ttried calling Compaq about it they had no idea. I messaged stickam.com but they havent gotten back to me.
