Default hyperthreading problems on XP Pro

I recently purchased a P4 computer with hyperthreading. It came loaded with XP home, I wiped it and installed XP Professional. When I open up task manager it shows that hyperthreading is working because I see 2 CPUs. However, it seems that only one of them is doing the bulk of the processing load. Any clue?

Before I wiped my drive with XP Home it took me only 22 minutes for this DVD shrink program. Now when I run it on my new XP Pro install it estimates that it'll take over an hour and the above picture is the output while it's running.

I have the same post over at ResourcePC.com as well.

Perhaps it has something to do with service packs?? Do you have any installed?
