Default Ram Question

Is there any difference between DDR and DDR2 and 3?
If so, what is it? and should I replace it with my current DDR?

DDR2 runs at lower voltages and a much faster speed than DDR therefore results in better bandwidth most of the time.

I dont know alot about DDR3, im pretty sure its the same concept (lower voltages, faster speeds)

Depends on what you do if you should upgrade. Frankly i didnt need to upgrade to DDR2, there really wasnt much of a difference going from DDR400 to DDR2667.

But my bandwidth did go from 3GB/s to 5GB/s.

They're all different memory types, and also incompatible. If you have DDR RAM, you can only replace it with DDR ram unless you have one of those fancy boards that take both DDR and DDR2, in which case you can switch to DDR2 but it's not really worth it unless you want every slightest benchmark score out of your system no matter what, in which case you wouldn't have a rig that takes DDR in the first place.
