Default A ram question

I have a question, if I have one gig of ram on my computer and my computers peak never goes higher than about 550 mb (about 780 mb when playing games, yeah I play old games), will I see a difference in computer speed if I upgrade to 2 gigs of ram???

If the computer uses the page file, than you may see a difference.

Thanks, I doubt that my comp uses page file because my computer almost never goes over the one gig line. Thanks for the reply
