Default Converted Hard Drive

Hi CF,
I'm back after a long break. But this is not because I didn't try coming back here, it's because there is a problem with my IP/Proxy settings.

Anyways, I converted my internal SATA hard drive into an external using an IDE/SATA to USB converter(I got this from a computer store).

The problem is, I want to know how I can access this hard drive.
Windows says that it's plugged in and ready to use(on Vista) and I cannot mount it using openSUSE Linux.
It's not visible in Computer in Vista, nor in Computer in openSUSE.

Also, this converter does not require any driver for it to function, so that's out of question.

Any idea?
