Exclamation Using SATA-II Harddrive on MSI Neo4-f (nforce4)

Hello

My computer has been constantly crashing lately and i believe its a hard drive problem... *fingers crossed*

so i decided to buy a new hard drive.

I remember my mother board only supported SATA but there doesn't seem to be many in the market anymore.

Anyone know if my computer would have problems handling an SATA-II? I googled that SATA-II's were backward compatible, yet i also read that some motherboards tend to corrupt SATA-II's.

Please help me
