The maudio card will give you multiple analog outputs, and you should be able to assign them to each of the inputs corresponding to your 5.1 system (have fun, it WILL be a pain, and probably wont work outside of a multichannel recording software environment...)

Are you planning on doing some 5.1 mixing? or are you just going to watch movies in surround, record in stereo?

You might just want to get a second external surround card, and just boot up your pc with one attached at a time. this will give you the most functionality and ease of use.

maudio has some good beginner's stuff. i have an maudio card, as well as the bx5 monitors... they also have a studio grade surround sound set if you search for it. if youre going to get into recording music, you'll find that everyone can't stress enough how important your speakers (monitors) are... logitech, and other home hi-fi speakers are aren't going to have a flat response that you get from a studio-grade speaker.

I appreciate your input...Im kinda unsure about what speakers to get, but the logitechs were looking good to me. I suppose I forgot to mention what I am trying to acheive here...I want a nice sound system, that will work with that sound card, for a beginning home recording studio, gaming, movies, and whatever else there is...and mainly for recording music...because I think thats probably where sound quality comes in the most. It doesnt necessarily need to be sorround sound, but I just thought it would be a nice feature. It just need to be decently compatable with games and movies, and great for recording music if thats possible. I dont really have a price limit right now...but if someone can give me a link to what I need to be looking for, and some advice on whats good, I would most definately appreciate it. Can anyone show me a link to something that would be good? If

If you are going to be recording, DO NOT GET THOSE SPEAKERS. It is essential that you use studio monitors. You will not get the results you want with Logitech speakers.
