Default Playstation 3 to Computer Sound Card

If it helps you to understand the problem please refer to my computer room setup.

I have my ps3 hooked up to the 22 inch acer which hangs on the wall with a 100x100 vesa wall mount. The monitor is using a rocketfish hdmi to dvi adapter to plug into the ps3. Then I have a optical cable running from the back of the ps3 to my computer which has the Creative Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio card. PCI Express card slot. I've downloaded and installed all the latest patches from the Creative webpage. The computer is brand new and has no problems what so ever. The ps3 is also new. 40gig hard drive. Once I turn on the ps3 the same sound that runs when I start the games plays for about 5 seconds. Then its silent and all the normal sounds and music that I play comes out just great. Then when I start a game the sound comes back! Ive recorded the sound and you can listen to it at this link. Click Here

(I just made that webpage because I didn't know where else to store it for easy sharing. Its also recorded in wma so it opens in windows media player for me. Hope you can listen)

This sound continues untill I quit the game.

I'm not sure what the problem could be! I've tried turning down the sound on the ps3 and on the comptuer. And no matter what I do the same sound keeps coming out! The ps3 is set right in the audio settings. I know this because I had it plugged into my 5.1 surround sound in my living room before I put it in my office.
