hi,
ok so im currently building a new rig, have xp installed to test it, all temps seem normal but im worried about how i installed my PSU. now, the case is a thermaltake V9, which unlike usual cases, has the PSU mounted at the bottom of the box, as there is a HUGE 23cm fan sucking hot air out of the top. ![]() now the PSU im using is the new thermaltake toughpower 750w which is also unlike the usual power supplys, were it has a bigger single fan at the bottom of the unit sucking air up into it and out the back ![]() now on a normal case were PSU is mounted in the top no dramas, sucks hot air from the system through the bottom of psu and shoots it out the back, but due to my psu mounted at the bottom of this particular case, when i installed the PSU in the case, the fan is effectivly at the bottom sucking air from outside the case through a grill at the bottom pannel. what should i do? flip the power supply upside down so it is still sucking hot air but from the bottom? or is the 23cm fan top mounted sufficient to disperse heat out of the case? it also has front mounted and rear mounted fans sucking and blowing through the case, not to mention the whole thing is practically a cheese grater, with ALOT of cooling properties to the case as is. |
