Lightbulb Brightness

Does anyone know of a program that would increase the brightness of your monitor? Because when I play allmost any game it is way too dark to see anything. I have the brightness all the way up and the brightness in the game all the way up, but it is still dark.

Hmm deffinately sounds like an old/faulty monitor to me. Do you have any other monitors you can at least try?

Its a crt monitor. I have another monitor but it is ancient, like 10 years old. And all my applications are dull.

Look in your display settings to see if your video card has the capability to boost your gamma and brightness settings.

for nvida cards gamma is hidden under display properties->settings tab->advanced-><videocardname> tab->color correction
I haven't had an ATI card in a long time so I can't remember where they put it, probably the same.
