Default 1066mhz - worth it..?

I am about to buy a new computer and have a couple of simple questions regarding the RAM:

1) Is it better to have 2x2GB or 4x1GB (for example)..?
2) Could I get 1x2GB + 1x1GB (Same type), or just 3x1GB..?
3) Is it worth getting 1066mhz over 800mhz with a AMD Phenom Quad and mid priced motherboard..?

Thanks in advance!
