Question I need a computer

I'm 17 years old and I'm in the mood of buying a computer. I know a little on them and I've been reading up on them . I need it for mostly gaming downloading music and burning cds, but i also need it for the internet and school work. I can spend about 1000 on it. If any one has any help they can give me for a nice computer, it would be appreciated.

Well you can but a premade one from a big company like dell or gateway you could build it from scratch up or you cant let a company do that I did the third option and got my computer from http://www.neocomputers.com/ they do a 48 hour burn in and they have alot of options you can also suggest things to put in your computer that they do not carry
