Angry Work Related Injury - Workplace Reactions

I need to vent. I SERIOUSLY need to vent. If Ashley doesn't vent, Ashley will do something stupid and out of her control.

Anyway. This week, I had a second appointment at the clinic here in town. The back story to that?
---- I fell at work. Neck injury.
He put me on three weeks off Work and into Physiotherapy. I had my first Physio appointment yesterday. Two more next week and two more after that.
Anyway, that was this Monday that he put me off work for three weeks.
We had a Company Picnic on the 27th of September. I went for food and to talk with some school friends who also work where I am part-time.
Well, the one lady decides:
"We're ALL going to play baseball."
Me: I'd rather not. I'll sit out
Her: EVERYONE is playing. This is COMPANY picnic.
Me: I'm hurt, I'd rather not.
Her: Everyone, no exceptions.
Me: No, I'll just sit out.

WELL. They FORCED me into baseball, which in turn only put my right neck and shoulder into more pain.
Then Monday comes, I get the three weeks off. My mom is friends with one of my co-workers. He's been telling her about how nearly everyone at work has been bad-talking me because "She could play baseball but she can't work."

I'm currently dealing with my WCB Case, so I'm getting Worker's Compensation since it's a work injury. But I swear... I have never ONCE in my left met a bigger group of gossipers and two-faced pricks in my life. AND THEY'RE ADULTS.
They'll talk to each other like friends. Once one leave, the other one almost instantly bad talks them to someone else.
It's a small factory, so EVERYONE knows EVERYONE there.

I swear. When I got back, if I still have a job when I go back, if someone evn LOOKS at me wrong, I'm going to spaz. I can't stand how immature and two-faced they are. It makes me sick. I've tried dealing with it ever since I started, I've held back from bitching at so many of them for being inconsiderate assholes, but I swear.. I SWEAR. Next time I WON'T hold back.

Okay. Done for now.
What would you do?

They have me on... some sort of... Neproxen? I can't remember the name and they're downstairs.
They're just a little better than ibuprofen.

I should find my Work handbook... Maybe some of it can count as harassment...

I'd ask your family doctor for a higher level of pain killers if the pain is that bad.

Don't even bother looking at your work handbook, they tend to leave it out by 'accident'.

Try using Google and saying something like Canadian government employment rules. Mite just find something useful.

The things they gave me actually work pretty good. Three times a day, taken with meals.

Harassment - means engaging in a course of vexatious comment or conduct that is known, or ought to be known, to be unwelcome. It may include unwelcome, unwanted, offensive, or objectionable conduct that may have the effect of creating an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment; interfering with an individual's work performance; adversely affecting an individual's employment relationship; and/or denying an individual dignity and respect. Harassment may result from on incident or a series of incidents . It may be directed at specific individuals or groups.

My handbook says that, anyway... then goes onto sexual harassment.

I have pulled a muscle in my neck/shoulder as well.
What would I do? I would not have gone to the picnic in the first place, and I would have refused to play baseball. I think you made a mistake for doing that while on workers compensation, so I would just accept that you made a bad decision.
Definitely not the answer you wanted to hear I know, but you live and learn.
I wouldnt take what they said too seriously either. People always talk about others at work behind their back, that is normal, I would only be annoyed if it was a good personal friend who did that.

Nono. I didn't do that while on Worker's Compensation. That was the week before I got put on Worker's Compensation.

You haven't heard how these people talk. It's harsh talk.

I stand corrected, then you have done nothing wrong.
I do know how people talk at work, unless they say something to your face I would not bother about it.
