Default AMD mobo...future upgradability?

Hi all,

I need a new mobo, and I currently have an AMD 6000+. I'm basically just trying to stick with my setup until 2010 or so, and then I'm going to mass upgrade.

My question is...is there any word on future AMD CPUs? Is a current AM2+/AM2 board going to be compatible for future processors in the works? I know that the new Intel chips are not going to be compatible with current boards, so it just got me to thinking...

If by any chance future AMD CPUs will be compatible, I'll have myself a passable system for now, and be able to upgrade later without a complete overhaul.
