Default help.... blue screen

Hi guys, just joined and already have picked up heaps of tips, cheers.
My problem started a few days ago. My monitor has decided to occassionally go a darker shade of blue. It flickers and sometimes lasts for up to 30 odd minutes (very annoying). Should I be looking at replacing my heavy old monitor with a nice new flat screen or could it be my graphics (video) card?
Appreciate any help.
Thanks

try a process of elimation, maybe use a different monitor for a while and see if the problem persists, if not then your monitor is you culprit. If yes then it may be your graphics card.

Could be the cord that runs from your monitor to your video card has gone bad. I had that problem and was able to get that replaced.
