I'm looking to buy a flash drive soon (abandon my 512 mb from 2 years ago) and get a massive one, either 8gb or 16 gb. I can use all that memory for graphics and movies I make in flash, premiere pro, photoshop, games, maybe an operating system if I have the spacew, random junk, etc.
Anyway.... I have four questions: 1. Does readyboost actually improve preformance? 2. Does every new stick work for vista's ready boost? ( I know some say they are certified for ready boost or w/e but does it rly need to be?) 3. If my system has four gb of ram on 32 bit os can I still improve my preformance? 4. Does dual channel memory matter...? Like, what can't you do with a stick that has poor read/write speeds? And one more kind of off topic..... I have an external hdd. When I plug it in the usb it gives me an option to improve my computers preformance... How would a hdd improve preformance of my computer?
