Default What would be a good case for this?

I'm planning on getting AMD Athlon 64 3000+, Nvidia 6600 256mb RAM PCIx, 1GB RAM, xp home or pro, 250gb hdd with 8mb cache, and a DVD burner. I was told that I need a power supply of at least 500w for the pcu.

What do I need to look for in a case? How many slots would I need for this setup? I would like to be able to upgrade. I'm wanting to spend between $20-60.

Try www.xoxide.com

You can get some pretty sweet cases, I've brought one, Just try get a cheapish one for about 40 bucks, Looks good and invest in some Neons??

Choice is yours.

if you buy a cheap case, dont use the PSU that comes with it.

read this to find out what you need to look for in a PSU PSU 101

... 500w for just that? yea right..... for a 3000+, a 480, or even a 450w is enough. but anyways, if u want a case then:

www.newegg.com or
www.xpcgear.com (they are having a presummer case blowout sale, just go to the case section) those are reliable sites with great deals.

By the way, your old computer specs aren't as bad as my current computer specs. Ouch.

Aren't they all pretty much the same? If I were to buy one today, I'd probably get one of the two with an air duct.

At xpcgear.com, I thought that these looked pretty good:
http://www.xpcgear.com/mutantxcase.html
http://xpcgear.com/enmaxcs800ta.html

I like what the first link(kingwin mutant) has to offer. I just need to make sure it can hold a big enough psu, has good cooling(looks like it), has enough slots, and can hold the right mobo for me before I do any buying. I did notice that I didn't see any drives in the front. Does it flip up to show the drives or something?

Do you know a lot about computers? Do you have AIM so I can work this out with you? I'm bronski820 if you have it.

You can't expect a $50 case with a PSU to be very reliable. Chances are those PSU's that come with all those cases are crap. I assuming you haven't read PSU 101, and I highly advise you to do so before you decide on a case like one of those. Watts don't mean jack if the PSU rails can't support anything.

I don't understand any of that. It's too confusing.
