go here for the website, look up a testing center, pay $ to test, if you pass, your certified, if you fail your not. Study hard before you test or you'll waiste your $. Good luck

Yup. Study study study.
I'd recomend you buy a book on the A+ course first... read it, then read it again, then go for the course. That way you should be prity certant to pass and not waist your money. I was going to to do the test, had bought the books and was about halfway through them when i got my current job... haven't gotten up the motivation again to finish reading it then do the test

Have you thought about doing the MCSE or similar course instead?

A+ is kind of a waste of money, the certif doesnt really do much for you.

if you want a job fixing computers it will help, (but that doesn't pay much). If you want to get into IT (networks & stuff), you'll want certs like Cisco, Linux, Microsoft (MSCE...), and the ONLY cert that doesn't require to recertify ever is A+, all others do eventually.
