Default New Dvd Drive Has Appeared

Ok so there I am looking around and all of a sudden I have an F drive.

How can I delete it as the drives I have are only C and E.

Have you installed any new drives, installed any new software, mapped any network drives.

You can remove drives using tweakui, or one of the many other tweak programs

its most probably a virtual drive...i have one for my "backed up" dvds on my hard drive.

I installed Tweak Ui but it wont delete the non existent drive just hide it.

I haven't installed anything at all for it to suddenly appear

It just really annoys me though.

Ok what OS are you using, what type of drive is it - ie what does the icon look like
is it a network drive, cd drive, hard drive, floppy?
what is the list of options available if you right click on it

It is apparently a dvd drive, but my actual dvd drive is d, this dvd drive thinks it is f.

Os is Xp Sp2 (Home)

are you using daemon or some other virtual drive mounting program>

Are you working with ripped dvds?

Through what drive do you access your dvd drive ie if you put a disk in now what drive do you have to use to access the the disk>

I installed Alchol 120 would this be anything to do with it?

Alchol 120 could do this if you are not used to the software...
