thats the thing. yes and no.
i said i got a corrupted HDD and i lost my copy of Windows. TOTALLY TRUE!
BUT, what they DON'T ask is what kills them, they DID NOT ask me if the copy of Windows i lost was the same on that i was now trying to install. Of course, the copy i lost was NOT the same one i was using now...this one was borrowed from a friend.
they ASSUMED since i lost windows on my HDD, now i was trying to install the SAME one again. not true.
they agreed, and they assumed...totally there fault. if they would have asked me if the 2 copies were the same..i would have been screwed because i wouldn't have lied.
the good thing is : they are required to read from little plastic cards that say the proper steps in order to help the customer out. like, "please wait while i look up your activation number" they can't stray from those assigned lines. kind of like a pizza hut you have a little diddy you say when u pick up the phone for a pizza order. so they will never ask you that question unless you are transferred to someone who has the authority to actually ask u REAL questions lol.
