You didn't forget the little square 12V power connector did you?
Otherwise, it could be a bad motherboard. I would reseat the memory... take out any un-necessary components like HD, CDROM, floppy and check again. Jeff at yourtechonline.com |

This happen to me twice The first it was a bad PSU and the second was that it was having a grounding issue I remove the regular screws and replace them with the plastic type that have a form of clip. If your PC is on top of your desk then put it on the ground then see if it would turn on and if it does then you got a grounding problem. Hope this helps

. I had this happen to me and what it turned out to be was a bad cpu and motherboard. Yes both where blown.

If the power supply is indeed only 230W, that could/would be a problem. The only other thing that I can think of is something touching something that it shouldn't. If it was a bad CPU, the fans would still go on. Does the HDD go on? (i.e. can you hear/feel it??)
edit:the fans would go on if they were connected to the PSU. If they were/are connected to the mobo, I dunno what they would do with a bad CPU. |
