You can actually hide entirely (to avoid future problems heehee):
1. Download TweakUI ( http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe ) and install it

2. Fire it up and under the "Taskbar and Start Menu", uncheck the box labeled "Show name in Start Menu"

To change the name displayed:
1. Control Panel
2. User Accounts
3. Click on the one corresponding to yours
4. Change my name
5. Done

I think I know what you're talking about...i thought you could control that with right clicking the name and selecting properties, but you can't.

do this:
Start>Control panel>User accounts/ After that, click on your account name and choose 'change my name'. If your boyfriend isn't nice, he might have set your account settings to where you can't change it... If you can change it, then that means that you can change his name!

edit:

you can also change your picture if you want.

humm... try properties.

Is diffrent names poping up? Are you on a network where the computer you're on only has one user (yourself)?

I'm not sure, and praetor probably already replied, but you might have to check your network settings?
