Default CD to TV format?

From a website I downloaded on computer a program, which has few files. Each file has instruction text and a physical exercise demonstration. Then from the computer I successfully copy to CD, which can be played on friend’s computer, but it is pity that it cannot be played with CD/VCD player. Can anyone help tell me how to convert the CD to TV format?

I've run across a couple of utilities that allow you to put AVI or MPG onto a CD-R and play the movies on a DVD player. Might want to look one up. I have one that came with NERO OEM Suite (although it decided it hates me ). Just search around a bit. Try typing in the words DVD AVI MPG play video cd-r, and so forth into a search engine. You should be able to find something

The upgrade! My machine will soon be a 939 X2 4000+, 4x512 DDR400, and an 8600GTS.

1. Google up something like TMPGEnc (not the best but there is a free version and its easy to use and quite versatile)
2. Use TMPGEnc to encode your source video (for which you must have the proper codecs and filters installed) to either VCD or SVCD. Do note that some older players may not support either or both of those formats

buy nero, or use the trial version, not sure what the limitations are, but select video CD and it will convert your avi to vcd for you, but like praetor said, make sure you have the right codecs
