Default Ip address from a post

Hi everyone,

I often hear people talking about getting someones ip addy from a forum post. How do they do this, for example can anyone tell what my ip address just from this post

If you post on a moderated board, the moderator can see your IP address as well as the administrators.

The admins use the IP address to keep spammers and delinquents from ruining this forum.

Yeah ...on some Forums the admin has enabled public to see everyones ip

My IP goes through a server cache thing So If anybody else in the same area as me went onto this site they would have the same IP right? I dont understand what this server cache thing is

no they wont .have the same ip...ur IP gets given to u when u Either Connect to the Net or Reset your modem ...everyone has a different ip

yes, but my internet goes through an ntl cache, so on most websites where it says it logs your ip or tells you what yoour ip is, they mostly come up with the cache and not my actual ip.

Well im on Ntl and thats a lie because i get both come up on me ip and cache
