Streaming Videos as Webcam
Hello
Is it possible to stream an AVI ("any" video) file just like a stream of a webcam? My camera is dead and I'll participate on a video chat. I need to send a video file just like a real webcam-captured image. If this is not the right place to ask this question then please guide me where to post this? Thanks you and Regards |

So what your asking is, you will be partaking in live video chat, with out a web cam, and you want to use some prerecorded video as your stream!
Well thats not live video chat then is it! I don't belive that it can be done as the video that is being recorded/viewed is coming directly from a device not a file. Meaning the software that you use for the web chat is streaming directly from the camera not a file that is stored on the computer! I could be wrong I am no expert! |

well, I have found it. I had asked a similar question on another forum also & one guy has given me a good free software link. Try this one. Fake Webcam Stream/play videos and movies on Yahoo, MSN, AOL, Paltalk, ICQ, Camfrog, and on all messengers instead of actual Webcam. It streams videos and movies on your messenger just like an actual Webcam. You don't need to have a Webcam for Webcamming. Enjoy pretending a teenage girl or someone you want to be. Your chat mate will never figure out that it's not a real Webcam.
