Question Laptop Harddrive

i need help here, i had a toshiba laptop b4 was quite good i now got a HP DV6810 all good specs n stuff, but every 20-30 seconds or so the HD makes a random noise like a floopy drive seek noise for about 1 second, done loads of diagnostics says its fine, but its so annoying coz this is when im not even using it jus sat beside my desktop, and its so ANNOYING!!!!! any1 got any clues, i wouldnt mind if it was a normal seek noise but it more like a floopy seek, and why would it do a random activity seek every 20-30 seconds even though im aint used it for like an hour???
