Here is the problem, I bought a Hitachi Hard drive a while ago and it seemed to be working perfectly. Recently I have been trying to watch movies on the hard drive but the videos were freezing for 4 seconds every 30 minutes or so. I thought it was a video card problem, but after switching the video to another separate hard drive inside my desktop the videos no longer freeze. So? Any ideas?

run a hdd test from hitachi: http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm#DFT.
Hopefully that will tell you if it's a HDD problem. If you can't be bothered downloading/burning/booting from the image etc. (i know i wouldn't lol) you could probably find another tool that works just as good. It would also be useful to know what drive is being used as the main (im assuming windows) drive. Good luck.
