Default no @#@$#%$ sound is worse than no computer

i install the software for my soundblaster audigy zs and i dont get anything a status check says everything is in order but i dont get any sound with a speaker test. i had sound for a day then i got updated drivers and it went to hell again, i have cambridge soundworks 6.1 speakers could this be conflicting with the sound max adio drivers that came with my asus board ? becasue they arent designated s the primary sound driver and i dont like getting the new hardware detected everytime i start up,so that rules out uninstalling them unless its absolutley needed, so if anyone knows anything lease help sorry for the wretched punctuation
