Default If you had $5000

What kind of computer build would you get?

Prebuilt or custom I want to see all of them.

I would buy an IBM Aptiva with a 13" CRT, 8mb of ram, a 1gb hard drive, quad speed cd-rom, 3.5" Floppy, and a SB Sound card. It is 1994, right?

Haha, coming from you that does not surprise me one bit.

I'm trying to find a nearby Mac reseller since the closest Apple Store is 250 miles away

pretty sure i would go with the core i7 equivalent to skulltrail, a pair of core i7 extremes, 12gb of ddr3 1600mhz with 6-6-6-18 timings, two gtx 295's, a pc power and cooling 1200 watt powering it, a mountain mods ascension with a triple quad panel(25 fans in all) 22 sanyo denki san ace fans, three thermochill pa120.3's three gtx 480's, just for gpu's and chipset, and a custom phase change with dual heads to keep the cpu's around 4.5ghz 24/7

Dont skimp on a power supply, if it fails, it can take other components with it.

I'd spend about $1000 on a system, then drop the rest into longtubes and a Borla

The GTX 295 is the dual card; the GTX 285 is the single core card, based on the GT200b architecture.
