It depends on how good your computer is and also how many programs you use. Some programs take a bit longer to shut down. I had a similar problem with an older computer, it was just slow.
Try defregmentating and cleaning registry but i'm not sure that it will work. |

Type each line on the list on here if what you did doesn't help, i will try to help if i am still in front of the screen... or else you'll have to wait until tomorrow.

most of the times when computer take long to shutdown is because there are many applications open. kill programs that are running on your computer for nothing go to START RUN and on type MSCONFIG and hit Enter. then on the startup tab remove the programs you don't need to load...
there are some registry hacks you can do too to speed it up..
